It's not happening for any other kinds of sims except mermaids as well.
Tested today with the new patch and it is still happening. I tried this with multiple different face details as well as removing my mods and it did not change. Honey Freckles, most swatches have mostly freckles across the nose and moles on the body. Theres also these Luca Freckles, which has swatches that look like both freckles and moles, fully body though some swatches dont have much on the legs.
